Daniel J. Sandoval received his M.S. in Nuclear Engineering (Medical Physics concentration) in 2008 from the University of New Mexico, and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering also at the University of New Mexico. He is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Medical Physics and serves as a Lecturer III for the UNM Department of Radiology. Daniel has recently co-authored the book Radiation Biology of Medical Imaging, and has collaborated on various projects and presentations dealing with Diagnostic Medical Imaging with researchers from Sandia National Labs, Los Alamos National Labs, and Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute. Daniel has presented at the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging (ISFRI) as well as at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) on projects relating to Computed Tomography radiation dosimetry and image quality measurements using decedents as proxies for the living.
